Southern Starter Kit

I have always loved gift baskets. I love themes, and bringing together items to create an idea. Separately, these items might not seem like much, but bring them together with a common thread creates something entirely new and completely adorable. 

For my wedding present to Natasha and Alex, I created a "Southern Starter Kit" since the two of them are hyping on the South right now. I personally think they would make an adorable Southern couple, but they need to get out of Calif first and come East! Since sipping iced tea in a rocking chair sounds entirely Southern to me, I thought it would be a perfect first step to Southernality. 

My kit  included: 

• An iced tea pitcher
• Four mason jar glasses- a nostalgic mix of backwoods and modern style
• Lipton iced tea -some would use sweet tea instead, but I can't stand the stuff. I'd like to have my teeth in twenty years.
• Lemon Bar mix- perfectly complements the iced tea flavor
• A cookie serving platter- for serving the lemon bars, obviously
• A yearlong Southern Living Magazine subscription

All in all, I was really pleased with how the gift turned out. Obviously I would have packaged and prepared it a little differently if the Byrds lived closer, but having to ship something to California put some limitations on me, unfortunately.
