Best Meal Ever

Last night, Kyle and I attended dinner at the Georgian Club in Marietta. It's an upscale dining club kind of similar to a country club, only it's on the 17th floor of a building instead of on a golf course. We won dinner for two through Indian Hills trivia last month and figured that a dinner before I went off to Disney and Kyle went off to student teaching was a nice way to cap off the break.

Dinner at the Georgian Club was fantastic. Although we had a few bumps in the road with reservations (since it's a members only club), from the time we got there to the time we left, it was a wonderful experience. There is an express elevator to take you to the top, and when we arrived at the club, someone took our jackets and our server led us to the table, which had a place card with my name on it! Not only that, but the menu also was labeled for "The Kerins Party." Man... they take personalization seriously. The only really weird thing was that we were the only people in the restaurant. Literally, the only people there. We made jokes all evening about renting out the whole place.

We started off with a wonton filled with barbecue chicken, compliments of the chef, and a plate with breadsticks and crisps. We ordered a Caesar salad for two, and it was fantastic. The dressing was deliciously fresh and the salad was served in a Parmesan basket... yup. A basket made of cheese.  After that, I ordered the Beef Tournedos, and Kyle got the Italian Pork. However, before we received our entrees, they served us an intermezzo: raspberry sorbet served out of an ice flower. The entrees were delicious, and we left very happy and very full. Overall,  it was an incredible experience, and we will probably not have something like it ever again. A restaurant all to ourselves with an incredible menu and wonderful service and all of it... for free!
