GROPA

Mercenator and I are down in Brunswick for the Great Rockin Party Adventure! Or, as I told my teachers to get out of class, the Georgia Recreation and Parks Associate Conference... but that doesn't sound as much fun. : ) We road tripped down yesterday, conferenced it up today, and are driving back up tomorrow. By the time we arrive in Athens, Mercy and I will have spent 28 hours in cars/buses since last Friday. That's over a day in driving time! Yuck.
We've been having a great time. GRPA is always so much fun (not so much because of the educational sessions), and it was kind of the first time that I really felt like I was a part of my major last year. It's a chance to get to know your classmates and be goofy outside of class. Even though last year I slept on a wicker couch that was too small and was freezing, I got to have a bonfire with my RLST friends and I woke up to this:

Ummm yes please. This year, we woke up to a Country Inn & Suites, but the beds were definitely not wicker couches, and we get complimentary breakfast. Deanna's dad ftw. We got to walk around a beautiful island, get free stuff, network with professionals (that one's for Gwynn and Corey), and be goofy girls.

Mercy, Deanna, and Jennifer: you guys made this trip rock!
